RIADG Building 131 Third Floor

RIADG Building 131 Third Floor

Rock Island, IL

Renovated space in Building 131 is now home to nine tenants including Russell Construction, SAIC and Vista International. The building was renovated from unfinished storage to 10,000-square-feet of office space with shared restrooms. The high, vaulted structure has large, voluminous space and is highlighted with rosette windows that are original to the structure.

Ceiling clouds were used to lower the volume and create more intimate space throughout the third floor. In the larger tenant spaces, frosted glass walls were used to create the illusion of oval-shaped ceiling clouds. Carpet patterns continued from open office space into the conference rooms. Each area was customized for the tenants' needs and nowhere was this more apparent than in the Vista International space that occupies the vast majority of the west wing. There are custom suspended glass shelves, a recessed space for Vista's company logo and a 7-foot-long wall with track lighting to highlight a wall sculpture that Vista brought from its previous location. The focal point of the space was created by a custom-designed reception desk with translucent Infusions™ clouds by Armstrong and specialized lighting.
