Over the Top is a unique brand offering custom-made, premium ice cream and "Fabulicious" custom-printed chocolates. The building was designed to reflect the unique character of the business combined with a memorable, hometown, local scoop-shop familiarity. The operations include an on-site ice cream production kitchen with a viewing window for customers, a drive-up service window, a party/gathering room, a traditional scoop-shop serving counter with a seating area and ice cream and chocolate retail display cases.
The building design and signage concepts were based upon the theme of the name Over the Top and incorporated the brand identity developed by the owners. Shive-Hattery provided full service architectural design from initial concept to final construction drawings. Services also included selecting the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services consultant and food service equipment consultant and coordinating the design process as well as interior design services.
