Shive-Hattery provided design service for running track and tennis court improvements and Midwest Field Turf, Des Moines office was the contractor. Improvements included:
Running Track
Resurface and stripe an existing polyurethane bound rubber surface track, high jump area and long jump area. Work included one-half inch track overlay and stripping and disposal of existing high jump surface and rubberized asphalt base, cleaning and priming the surface and sealing cracks.
Tennis Courts
Resurface six tennis courts including surface repairs, birdbath filling, resealing of existing joints and cracks, and new surface coat. Other improvements involve replacing light pole bases, reconstructing three gate openings, repair of electrical box base, removal of 11 trees and replacement with associated landscaping.
