Shive-Hattery designed a three-story addition and interior renovations within the three-story hospital. The addition provides new private medical/surgical patient rooms, private surgery recovery rooms, rehab space, kitchen/dining and conference rooms. Aging mechanical and electrical infrastructure was also replaced.
All patient rooms are handicap accessible and equipped with motorized patient lifts that conceal away in the custom headwall unit.
The existing hospital registration area lacked privacy and an area for patients to sit. The seating area was remote and not visible from the registration area. Finishes were dated and worn. The remodeled space resolved these issues and provides warm and inviting areas for patients and staff.
