The new Armed Forces Reserve Center is in full operation and serves 100 soldiers from both the Iowa National Guard and US Army Reserves. The 36,000-square-foot readiness center has a drill hall, maintenance bay, kitchen, classroom, administrative spaces, storage spaces, lockers, fitness room and latrines. The new facility replaces an Iowa Army National Guard Armory and a US Army Reserve Center.
This was a design-build project with Old Veteran Construction as the contractor and Shive-Hattery and Hanson Professional Services providing design services.
