This project included extending 24-inch distribution chilled water mains from the Northwest Chiller Plant to the Arts Campus. Also included was the demolition of chiller equipment, condensing units, and cooling towers at the Theatre Building, Museum of Art, and Art Building East. These buildings, along with Hancher/Voxmann, were connected to the campus chilled water loop and related interface components and building distribution pumps with variable speed drives were provided at each building. New controls were provided including retrofitting existing three-way control valves with two-way. Shive-Hattery provided mechanical, electrical, and civil design and construction administration services.
