Central Iowa
The Central Iowa Trails communications plan guides the consistent use of signage, maps and electronic media by the various jurisdictions developing trails in central Iowa. Shive-Hattery provided communication, planning, and graphic design services for the project.
To implement the Central Iowa Trails communication media planning process, each participating municipality, county, and organization appointed one person with the authority to participate in a Central Iowa Trails Communication Planning Group. The Planning Group met to review and approve the documentation of the planning process. Each member of the Planning Group also served as a contact for Shive-Hattery to gather information from his or her respective organization.
The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation also assisted in obtaining information and involvement from participating organizations in the planning process.
