Shive-Hattery worked closely with the City of Des Moines Park and Recreation Department to update its outdated signage throughout the city park system. The project began with a kick-off work session to review goals, objectives, expectations, schedules, lessons learned and other topics to assure an effective project launch.
Services included preparation of various conceptual sign designs that include a creative combination of geometric sign shapes, lettering styles, logos, colors and materials and preparation of schematic sign design drawings with a particular focus on their application to Ashby Park, Glendale Cemetery, and Hawthorn Park. Additional information addressed the dimensions of the design features, typography, color, materials, framing and mounting.
