Shive-Hattery designed repair, removal and replacement of the existing embankment protection along the existing primary spillway. The existing embankment protection consisted of rip-rap and was deteriorating. The project included an evaluation of the existing rip-rap, limits of embankment protection, permitting with the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACOE)/Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
Land surveys included setting site control for project and a site topographic survey of the slide area for civil group to design repair procedures of the slide area.
